I’m Ed McCulloch, a UK-based motion designer, AI artist and commercial retoucher working near Manchester with clients around the world.
Over the past 12+ years, I’ve worked across advertising, motion design, image retouching, compositing, CGI and commercial post-production. My experience allows me to move comfortably between a Figma interface, an After Effects animation, a Cinema 4D scene and a final Photoshop image without losing the original creative idea.
Today, my work focuses on four connected areas: SaaS and app motion design, advertising and social content, AI-led visual production, and high-end commercial retouching.
I use AI as part of a wider production process rather than treating the first generation as the finished result. Images and films are developed through art direction, iteration, CGI, compositing, retouching, colour grading, motion and sound until they feel intentional and commercially ready.
